B -- GIANT SEQUOIA COLLABORATIVE WORKSHOP SOL RFP-R5-15-99-41 DUE 090299 POC Mary chislock-Bethke or Tom Henry, (559) 784-1500 or Patrick Gallegos, (559) 297-0706 Ext. 4830 This project, located on the Sequoia National Forest, will be to Design and Implement a 3-day workshop in approximately November, 1999 (actual date negotiable) to involve all interested stakeholders in the development of a "Blueprint for Change" for giant sequoia management on national forest lands using a collaborative model as the basis for the workshop process. In addition to the workshop, the contractor will provide the following specific outcomes or work items: 1) Design, facilitate, and document an internal Forest Service workshop during the same time frame;2) Develop a comprehensive work plan showing how each work item will be completed; 3) Produce a formal report titled "Blueprint for Change" based on the results of the public and internal meeting; 4) Produce a monthly newsletter to the Forest Service documenting the development and results of the workshops; 5) Produce an interactive web page to allow public members to provide input to the workshop content; 6) Upon completion of the document, produce a tabletop poster display and an audio/visual program, both of which summarize the document and the process used to develop it.
