The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, has a competitive requirement for all services, labor, materials and equipment for cultural resources site evaluation within the McNary dam reservoir, located on the Washington (southeastern)/Oregon (northeastern) border. Work will involve the testing of up to twenty-four archaeological sites to determine their eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The acquired testing data will also be used to assist with the long-term management of the identified sites. Contractor's work shall include, but not be limited to the following: review pertinent information on the identified sites, develop a comprehensive evaluation strategy, excavate sediment, site recording actions, data analyses and report requirements, including a final comprehensive project report. Vendors must furnish documentation with their bid package verifying the capabilities of key personnel to meet the qualifications of and complete the required work in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's "Standards and Guidelines for Archaeology and Historic Preservation."
