DESC: The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price type contract with Research Triangle Institute for the Proficiency Testing Program as required by the Navy Environmental Health Center, Norfolk, VA.. The contractor shall provide the necessary personnel, materials, facilities, and technical services required to provide and maintain a proficiency testing quality assurance program for a maximum of seventy eight (78) Navy Asbestos Testing Laboratories. The resulting contract will be from the date of award to 30 September 2000 with four one-year options. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 8734.
