Contracting Office, Building 201, Fort Mason, San Francisco, CA 94123 C -- DESIGN HYDROLOGICAL AND GEOMORPHOLOGICAL RESTORATION AND FILL
PLACEMENT SOL 1443RP8140-99-0302 POC Carol A. Axley WEB: National Park
Service, http://www.nps.gov/goga. E-MAIL: National Park Service,
Carol_Axley@nps.gov. The National Park Service, Golden Gate National
Recreation Area has identified a requirement to design hydrological and
geomorphological restoration and fill placement at an approximately
33.5 acre site along Redwood Creek near Muir Beach, California. The
Scope of Work includes three primary components as follows: 1) Conduct
a hydrological/geomorphological analysis and, if technically feasible,
prepare a floodplain and riparian restoration design for the portion of
Redwood Creek adajacent to the Site; 2) Conduct a
hydrological/geomorphological analysis and prepare a design to restore
drainages from the coastal hills into the alluvial plains of the Site,
and 3) Prepare a conceptual fill disposal plan for up to 120,000 cubic
yards of soil at the Banducci site alone and at both the Banduci site
and/or the former ballfield. Technical Proposals will be evaluated on
the following Selection Criteria: (A) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (A) KEY
PERSONNEL: (A) 1 Key personnel must have a strong academic and
professionalbackground in fluvial geomorphology, hydrology, sediment
transport analysis, and civil engineering; (A) 2 Key personnel must
have have demonstrated experience conducting hyrological analysis for
habitat evaluation/design purposes, and (A) 3 Key personnel must have
demonstrated experience preparing engineering designs to meet
ecological goals. (B) EXPERIENCE (B) 1) Demonstrated fluvial
geomorphological and hydrological experience of the key individual who
will be responsible for restoration analysis and design; (B) 2)
Demonstrated level of expertise and appropriateness in the Offeror's
detailed technical approach for hydrological/geomorphological analysis;
(B) 3) Demonstrated level of expertise and appropriateness in the
Offeror's detailed technical approach for restoration design, and (B)4)
Demonstrated understanding of habitat criteria for healthy coastal
riparian systems. (C) PAST PERFORMANCE: (C)1 The Offeror shall
demonstrate successful performance on the same or similar type services
within the last three years, (C) 2 The Offeror shall demonstrate past
performance by inclusion of dates, locations, customers, points of
contact and award amount. (D) PRICE is not scored. However price will
be evaluated. The National Park Service encourages the participation of
small, minority and woman-owned business enterprises. Written requests
for Solicitation 14438140-99-0302 must be submitted via e-mail, or
