The Federal Correctional Institution is currently seeking qualified contractors to bid on the collection and disposal of solid waste material from the Federal Correctional Institution, and staff housing areas. This contract is for a period of one (1) base year and four (4) option years. The contractor is responsible for supplying one (1) metal 50 cu.yd. solid waste container with a minimum of 2 cu.yd hopper capacity, a fully enclosed dog house with lockable doors on each side, a full light indicator, and the unit shall be leak proof with full door seal and liquid sump. This unit shall be placed inside the secure perimeter of the institution and shall be picked up and disposed of twice a week. The contractor shall also supply a minimum of five (5) 90-100 gallon containers for staff housing units, and shall dispose of waste twice a week. The contractor shall also supply one (1) eight (8) yard open top dumpster which shall be collected and disposed of once a week. Contractor shall be responsible for maintainence and sanitation of the containers, and shall be responsible for all fees associated with diposal of the solid waste at an approved landfill. Contractor shall abide by all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations for the collection and disposal of solid waste. Contractor shall also abide by all Bureau of Prisons (BOP) rules and regulations concerning removal of solid waste containers from Institutional property, and security requirements for entering BOP facilities.
