304/636-1800, extension 265 The Monongahela National Forest anticipates
contracting for the Tea Creek/Gauley Mountain Trail Bridge Construction
on the Marlinton/White Sulphur Ranger District in Pocahontas County,
West Virginia. The work includes the construction of up to 15 trail
bridges constructed of pressure treated lumber following a single
Forest Service design. The bridges which are each 4 feet wide and vary
in length from 8 to 20 feet, are set on treated sills directly on the
trailbed. The contractor is responsible for supplying all materials,
labor, and transportation to the project site. The estimated contract
time is 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed for all 15 bridges. The
Government estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Work is
anticipated to begin in September 1999. This project will be awarded
under the Small Business Demonstration Project. All interested parties
