Scope of Work is to repairs the existing roof systems at various facilities at Homestead Air Reserve Station, Miami-Dade County, Homestead, Florida. The base is located approximately thirty miles south of Miami, FL. This project consists of both removing/replacing and repairing existing roof systems for approximately ten facilities. Roof replacement work involves removal/disposal of the existing roofing system, preparing the roof deck for application of the new roofing system, and applying the new roofing system to the roof deck. Damaged portions of the existing roofing system shall be repaired as noted in the project drawings and specifications. Flashing and other weatherproofing materials shall be applied along roof edges, around roof penetrations, and against parapets and other roof obstructions/discontinuities in order to provide a seamless, weather-tight roof system.. This acquisition is for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The SIC is 1761. Magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $250,000and $500,000 (Phase II Funded). Project performance period is 120 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 31 Aug 99. Dates are for estimating purposes only, and may be revised as indicated in the Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation is unrestricted and is open to large, small, small disadvantaged, and woman owned business concerns. Past Performance is an important evaluation factor for this solicitation.
