278-6724 SYNOPSIS: The work includes furnishing all labor, equipment
and materials necessary to repair/modify the exixting wet-pipe
sprinkler fire protection systems in the Public Works Bldg. No. 112 and
in Galley Bldg. No. 113. Remove an dispose of asbestos containing pipe
and tank insulation and vinyl floor tile in the Public works Bldg No.
112, in the Galley Bldg No. 113 and in the open warehouse area of the
Galley/Exchange Bldg No. 110. Most of the asbestos containing pipe
insulation is in enclosed spaces above suspended acoustical ceilings or
suspended gypsum board cielings. Suspended ceiling systems and their
appurtenances in the vicinity of asbestos containing pipe insulation
shall be considered contaminated and be disposed of as asbestos
containing material. Remove/replace suspended acoustical panel ceilings
including insulation, light fixtures, air conditioning registers and
other appurtenances in the Public Works Bldg No. 112 and in the Galley
Bldg. No. 113. Replace the roof membrane system including flashing and
appurtenances in the Public Works Bldg No. 157. Repair roof membrane
system including repair of damaged membrane, replacement of pitch plans
with flashed equipment supports, and application of elastomericcoating
of the Supply/Exchange Bldg No. 110. The estimated price range is
between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Bid guarantee, payment and
performance bonds and insurance are required. This solicitation is
being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business
participation. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be
