This project consists of the replacement of the existing native log bulkhead at the Blind Slough Log Transfer Facility (LTF) with a new native log bulkhead on the existing footprint. The work also includes repair of erosion damage and improvement of drainage on the shot rock fill causeway behind the log bulkhead. The work site is located at the Blind Slough LTF on the Petersburg Ranger District, Tongass National Forest, along the eastern shore of the south arm of Blind Slough on the southern side of Mitkof Island, approximately 38 kilometers (24 miles) south of Petersburg, Alaska. The project site is accessible by road from Petersburg. The contract time is 240 calendar days. The estimated price range is $25,000 -- $100,000.
