1245 Project consists of meadow restoration within Last Chance Meadow
and its tributary. The project will include headcut stabilization at
the base of Last Chance Meadow area, along with willow and alder
plantings and restoration of the tributary of bone creek to its
original floodplain. To achieve this a step pool channel needs to be
constructed. The project is located at the Tule/Hot Springs Ranger
District approximately 60 miles east of Porterville, in the Bone Creek
drainage within Township 22 South, Range 32 East. Estimated price
range is less than $100,000.00. The estimated start work date is
September 30, 1999. There will be a charge of $25.00 for plans and
