The Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Contracting Division seeks information from information technology providers regarding features, availability, support, training and pricing of a commercial, off-the-shelf electronic imaging and records management system suited to a small office environment. The system should function in a Windows NT and Novell NETWARE environment. OPM intends to employ this system to maintain electronic files, allowing for easy search, retrieval, distribution, and use. The system should be user friendly, including an easily maintainable and customizable database, on-line search capabilities, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) capabilities, and be able to maintain and organize files created in a multitude of formats including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Lotus, Excel, Adobe, and HTML. OPM is also seeking information from small or small disadvantaged business concerns to help support a decision as to whether or not an acquisition for this software may be considered as a Small Business Set-aside or as a Small Disadvantaged business set-aside.
