The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide maintenance of Government owned scientific workstations located at the Satellite Services Branch, National Climatic Data Center, Suitland, MD. Maintenance is to be performed on-site. The term of the contract will be for a base year of October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000 with four (4) additional one-year options. The contractor shall be required to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items or services necessary to perform the work and maintain a 95% effectiveness level. The response time for the on-call maintenance, within the principal period of maintenance (PPM) shall be three (3) hours. The equipment to be maintained includes, but is not limited to: IBM RISC System/6000 7013-570; IBM 6091 19i Color Display w/cable; Tektronix Phaser IISDx Model 4684 Dye Sublimation Printer; ANDATACO and StorageTEk external tape drives; SGI IRIS Indigo XZ4000, Model CMNB003B; SGI Color Display Monitor; Northeast Peripherals external tape drive; Seagate internal disk drive; Exabyte Model EXB8700 8mm tape drive. Any party interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation shall provide written notice to the Contracting Office. The solicitation document will be issued on or about July 30, 1999.
