The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) has a requirement for audit and financial management, organizational, and business improvement services in support of the Office of the Undersecretary of the Air Force (Comptroller). The purpose of this effort is to obtain unqualified opinions on the Federal Government's financial statements, as required by Presidential Directive and endorsed by OMB and GAO. The requirement contains various tasks, including but not limited to the following: evaluation of milestones, financial systems, financial processes, data manipulation, and reporting methodology . DFAS intends to issue RFQ MDA210-99-Q-0008 in an effort to establish a multi-vendor Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). It is the intent of the BPA to secure discounts on a per order and a cumulative basis throughout the life of the BPA. The period of performance for the BPA will be one base year and four additional option years. Only Federal Supply Schedule holders will be considered for award. Specifically, DFAS seeks contractors holding GSA schedules under Numbers 872-1 and 872-2, Auditing Services and Financial Management Services. Teaming arrangements are authorized. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Statement of Work (SOW) documents will be posted to the DFAS website, www.dfas.mil, on/about July 28, 1999.
