U -- ADULT LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES INSTRUCTOR SOL RFQ 124-0026 DUE 082099 POC Richard Houser, Contract Specialist 608-584-6120 The Federal Correctional Institution, Oxford, Wisconsin is soliciting to establish a non-personal service agreement to provide the services of an Adult Leisure Time Activities Instructor. The Contractor shall provide instruction in mediums of clay, leather, woodworking, art, and ceramics to inmates at said facility. The Contractor will provide specific instruction, supported by a formal curriculum and lesson plans, in adult leisure time hobby pursuits, such as: art, clay modeling, firing, painting of ceramics, glazes, and leather tooling. The Contractor will introduce a formal curriculum and lesson plans and provide documentation on participating inmates. The Contractor will coordinate with Recreation staff all enrollments for the art and craft programs, report program progress, and identifying number of hours for participation and completion by each inmate enrolled in the program and assist in monitoring the attendance of inmates. A degree in the Arts with an emphasis in adult hobby craft activities, with three to five years of successful experience consisting of either an academic four year degree or specific Vocational/Technical school training that is commensurate to the degree. Past experience in a correctional setting is preferred. Contractor will provide services in three hour sessions, seven sessions per week, Monday through Sunday for a total amount of 370 sessions for the expected contract period of October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. An option year contract is contemplated, cost will be based on the total price for the basic requirement together with any option(s) exercised at the time of award. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by this office.
