U -- JANITORIAL SERVICES INSTRUCTOR SOL RFQ 124-0024 DUE 082099 POC Richard Houser, Contracting Officer 608-584-6120 The Federal Correctional Institution, Oxford, Wisconsin is soliciting to establish a contract with a Vocational Training Instructor for Janitorial Services. The contractor shall provide certified instruction/or be eligible for certification in a Janitorial Services Vocational Training Program to inmates at said facility. The instructor will maintain technical competence in the specified vocational area, develop and modify curriculum and meet all teaching certification requirements. Instructor will also be responsible for the documentation of student assessment/progress and other reporting required by the agency certifying the program. Certified instructor will be expected to: provide vocational instruction within a classroom and shop setting for qualified inmates, provide instruction in but not limited to floor and wall surface care, carpet and furniture cleaning, window cleaning, restroom cleaning, use of cleaning chemicals, safety issues, and use of power equipment. To provide complete and accurate, observational and standardized assessment of students. Design, organize and modify on an as needed basis the instructional environment. Evaluate student progress and performance, maintain accurate, updated records of student progress and performance. Provide grades on a timely basis, and maintain competency based achievement records. Develop an annual budget for the vocational program. Contractor will provide two, three hour sessions per day, Monday through Friday for a total amount of 416 sessions for the expected contract period of October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. An option year contract is contemplated, cost will be based on the total price for the basic requirement together with any option(s) exercised at the time of award. Contract award will be based on the following evaluation factors: Vocational instructor certifications, total cost of services, experience in a correctional setting. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by this office.
