The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and constructing the Louisiana State Penitentiary Levee Project, Drainage Structure Replacement and Pump Station Rehabilitation, located in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. Principal features of the work include a double 8 feet by 8 feet concrete box culvert gravity drainage structure, levee and berm embankment, landside borrow area fill, crushed stone levee surfacing, stone protection, inlet and outlet channels, existing gravity structure and pump station foundation demolition and removal, and replacing the existing discharge pipes at two existing pump stations. The work includes mobilization and demobilization, clearing and grubbing, demolition, relief wells, cofferdam, dewatering, structure excavation, channel excavation, random backfill, pervious backfill, fully compacted random fill, semicompacted random fill, uncompacted random fill, clay blanket, pervious fill, crushed stone surfacing for levee and ramps, bedding stone,R90 riprap, engineering fabric, steel H-piles, metal sheet piling, subsurface drainage system, concrete work, metal work, walkway bridge, slide gates and manually operated hoists, painting, concrete and timber stoplog gate, stoplog gate hoist, erosion control, new turf establishment, storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Project Cooperation Agreement (PCA) has not been approved and Right-of-Way is presently not available. Site visits cannot be made and bids will not be opened until the PCA has been executed and Right-of-Way is obtained.
