Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for Roofing within the Family Housing Areas at Fort Hood, Texas. Task orders will be issued for the replacing of roofs on approximately 254 total housing units within the three housing areas at Fort Hood, Texas. In addition, some storage sheds and carports will be included. The new roofs will be asphalt shingle where slope permits and built-up roofing at all other units. Asbestos facia, soffit, etc., exists at one housing area. Lead-based paint exists at all three housing areas. Estimated duration for the contract award will be an initial base period of 12 months with two (2) option periods of 12 months for a total not-to-exceed of thirty-sixty (36) months. Option Periods will be exercised at the Government's discretion. The anticipated amount for the Base Period and each Option period is $750,000.00 with a not-to-exceed $2,250,000.00 for the life of the contract. The minimum guaranteed amount for the initial 12-month base period is $15,000.00 and for each 12-month Option Period is $7,500.00. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through either 3.5" diskette, CD ROM, and/or the Internet. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD ROM and the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
