The work of this project consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 41,796 cubic yards of sandy material from an existing channel and anchorage at Little Harbor in Rye, New Hampshire. The existing channel is to be dredged to 10 foot depth and a portion of the existing anchorage is to be dredged to 8 foot depth. All dredged material is to be removed by mechanical methods. Disposal of dredged material shall be approximately two miles from the project site, at a site approximately 1,500 feet offshore of Wallis Sands State Beach. The estimated cost of the work is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Work shall be completed within 180 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. Solicitation documents shall be available on or about 8/16/99 at no charge. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the New England District.
