Saint Louis, Contracting Officer; 304/636-1800, extension 265 The Monongahela National Forest anticipates contracting for the Spruce Knob Tower Painting and Repair on the Cheat/Potomac Ranger District in Pendleton County, West Virginia. The work includes preparation and painting of exposed steel components. Lead based paint has been detected on the steel components. In addition, the project includes removal and replacement the steel railings and supports, repointing the stone masonry, and removal and replacement of exposed aggregate surfacing. The contract time is 269 calendar days from award. This time allows for field measurements in the fall of the year with actual installation and completion of the project the following spring. The estimate for the work is $40,452.00. This project will be awarded under the Small Business Demonstration Project.
