-25- This is a correction to a sources sought synopsis issued 0n 12
July 99. Clarification regarding the anticipated quantities and
description follow: 3 Year IDIQ FY 2000=1,033ea FY 2001= 354ea FY 2002=
935ea Total estimate for 3 years is 2,322 Description: Consists of the
following components: receiver body, barrel support, left/right sight
guide, cocking handle guide, rear block, gas cylinder support, front
bushing, triger frame support and magazine sleeve assy. The receiver
body is formed from 1.75mm thick sheet metal to which the other
components are welded. The receiver has tolerances that are very
difficult to hold after the heating/cooling caused by the welding. The
receiver is defined as an automatic weapon and all BATF associated
licenses and security requirements apply. Phosphate coating required.
Left/right slide guides are hardened and chrome plated. Posted 07/19/99
