DESC: The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition from Lucent Technologies of Vista, CA: FT-2000 Software Upgrades to include R7 Disk and Software Documentation, Hardware Documentation, Application Software RTU upgrade R6.0.1 to R7.2, and Operating Software RTU upgrade R6.0.1 to R7.2, quantity 5 each. The Air Force Flight Test Center maintains five FT 200 switches, which support the base's copper and fiber backbone. This purchase will enable the 95 Communications Squadron to ensure that the center's FT2000 switches are Y2K compatible and prevent any interruptions or delays in service to the Center. No RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution. The order is anticipated to be issued o/a 4 Aug 1999.
