This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only Request for Proposal. A written Request for Proposal will not be issued. The request for proposal document, contract incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 90-44. The SIC code is 1711. The Television-Audio Support Agency intends to procure the customization and upgrading of the existing Air Thermal Unit (ATU) and Fan Powered Air Thermal Unit (FPATU) Controllers, along with associated equipment to retrofit existing controllers. The contractor shall engineer, provide all labor and materials, computer software/graphics, electrical and communication wiring, terminals, connections, terminal links, output modules, sensors, etc. The contractor shall retrofit, connect, program, test, commission and certify 131 each York Thermal Digital controls (TDC) and 25 each York Fan digital Controls (FDC) to replace existing Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Fan Powered Air Thermal Unit (FPATU) circuit controllers, and front-end computer controller system. All associated system software shall be Year 2000 compliant. The work is to be accomplished at AFRTS-BC, 1363 Z Street, Bldg 2730, March ARB CA 92518-2017. Currently all the HVAC equipment is manufactured by, and under an extended warranty, with York International until after Feb 2000. All proprietary rights are held by York International.
