Dingell, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R, Detroit, Michigan to negotiate a maintenance contract with Simplex Time Recorder for the maintenance of our existing Simplex fire alarm system. Contract will provide fire alarm testing, inspection, maintenance, software changes, and software upgrades for Simplex fire alarm system. Service will include four 25% quarterly system tests and inspections including smoke detector cleaning, sensitivity testing, electrical testing on sprinklers, circuit zone tests, complete documentation, recommendations, customer assisted visits, along with informal training for facility personnel. The contract period will be for one year with 4 option years. This is not a request for proposals. Interested parties capable of provideing the services specified above shall submit written documentation of that capability to the contracting officer no later than 4:30pm local time, September 3, 1999.
