The project involves the beneficial use of dredged material to restore approximately 42 acres of tidal freshwater wetlands in Kingman Lake, Washington, DC. The material, approximately 190,000 cubic yards, will be hydraulically dredged from the Federal nav. channel in the Anacostia River, Distict of Columbia and Prince Georges Co., MD. Dredging is also required to create a tidal gut system and lagoon in Kingman Lake. Following consolidation, the dredged material will be planted with approximatley 720,000 plants. This Project is 100% Small Business Set Aside. The SIC Code is 1629. Estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Completion time is 300 calendar days.
