Required work includes removal of existing built up roof system and installation of new sloped roofs, removal and replacement of existing shingles, metal flashings and damaged roof sheathing; renovation and expansion of kitchens and renovation of bathrooms; removal of existing double-hung windows and sliding doors and replacing with new aluminum clad wood units; reparation/replacement of interior finishes including walls, floors, ceiling, trim, paint and doors; replacement of existing fixed single pane glass units with new insulated glass; modification of interior partitions in living rooms and bedrooms; removal of existing HVAC systems including boilers, hot water piping and all ductwork and installation of new fired furnace with DX cooling; removal of existing lighting fixtures in bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms; installation of new fixtures at bathrooms and kitchens; disposal of debris and salvageable items, preparation, maintenance and submission of as-built drawings. The proposed contract will be firm fixed price with a performance period of 60 days from contract start date. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this procurement is 1522. The small business size standard is $17 Million. The anticipated issue date of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) is on or about 5 Aug 99, with a bid opening date on or about 7 Sep 99.
