This will be a requirements contract to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform all work required to install fire alarms in various buildings at Fort McCoy, WI. Work includes, but is not limited to: demolish existing fire alarm systems; collect existing battery-operated smoke detectors intact from buildings and deliver them in a DOT 7A type steel drum to the Fort McCoy Fire Department for disposal; install automatic fire detection and alarm systems; and install fire alarm radio reporting system for a row of barracks. Existing buildings will not be occupied during the performance. The term of the contract will be for one (1) year (20 Sep 99 through 19 Sep 2000), with a Government option to extend for one (1) option year (20 Sep 2000 through 19 Sep 2001). Total magnitude of the acquisition is between $1 and $5 Million spread out over the base and option year. A 20% bid bond is required with the bid. The SIC for this procurement is 1731 and the size standard is $7M.
