This is a combined synopsis-/-solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and THERE WILL BE NO WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION ISSUED. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotation is N00244-98-T-A956. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis, under Standard Industrial Code 7379 with a small business standard of $18 Million. FISC San Diego has a requirement for the following items: Item 0001 is for Internet Access for 29 accounts as described in the attached statement of work. STATEMENT OF WORK: The Contractor is to provide twenty-nine (29) Internet access accounts for all of the current Competitive Sourcing Office Coordinators (CSSCs) located throughout the United States. In addition to the CSSCs, three additional accounts will be established to accommodate personnel in Competitive Sourcing Office in Alexandria, VA and La Mesa, CA. The vendor must provide a local dial up number or toll free number without any additional charges to users throughout the United States to access the Internet. CSSCs travel extensively throughout the U.S. military facilities. By dialing into a locally provided number to obtain Internet access, users will be able to communicate with Lotus Notes Server located in San Diego and/or Washington, D.C. via TCP/IP address provided by vendor without incurring additional toll charges. The period of performance is from October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. Item 0002 is for option year one, period of performance from October 1, 2000 to September 30, 2001. Item 0003 is for option year two, period of performance from October 1, 2001 to September 30, 2002. Item 0004 is for option year three, period of performance from October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003. Item 0005 is for option year four, period of performance from October 1, 2003 to September 30, 2004. PLEASE PROVIDE PRICING FOR THE BASE YEAR AND FOUR OPTION YEARS.
