work includes but is not strictly limited to furnishing all labor,
material and equipment necessary to perform the following: The existing
elevator controls are to be upgraded and the elevator cabs refurbished
in compliance with ADA, handicapped accessibility. Upgrade should
include all current handicapped requirements. State of the art controls
to include fireman recall and parquet flooring in the cab. In addition,
the following shall be replaced: hydraulic power unit with submersible
pump unit; controller with solid state unit; care safety edge with an
infrared screen; car station; hoistway switches, wiring, wireways; car
switches, wiring and wireways; door operator, tracks, rollers and gibs;
hoistway door tracks, rollers and gibs; car top inspection station and
automatic car lowering unit in case of power failure. Work will be
performed at the Federal Building, 650 Missouri Avenue, East St. Louis,
Illinois. The completion time for this project is 150 calendar days.
Standard Industrial Code(SIC) is 1796. The estimated price range for
the project is between $300,000.00 and $400,000.00. The procurement is
unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. Solicitation will be available on or about
August 4, 1999. This solicitation and any documents relating to this
