The Air Force intends to solicit proposals for a firm-fixed price contract for Project BXUR 91-4004, which consists of replacing water lines (main and lateral). Providing a backflow preventor and shutoff valve in existing domestic water piping system. Provide new piping from exterior of building to backflow preventor. Replace existing gas regulator to match existing and provide gas service shutoff valve. Replace gas piping from regulator to inside of crawlspace wall. Relocate selected fire hydrants and provide two new fire hydrants. Replace the crawl space access covers. Restore all paving/concrete that is disturbed during construction. This includes parking lots, roads and sidewalks. Replace the landscape elements that will be disturbed during construction. This short work description shall serve as general information only and shall not be construed to limit the contractor_s responsibility of obligation to comply with the contract documentation. The recommended performance period is 270 calendar days. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1542. Project value is estimated between $500,000 -- $1,000,000.
