17 -- REDESIGN ARRESTING GEAR BARGRAPH METERS SOL N68335-00-R-0104 DUE 082399 POC Joseph A. Campanaro,732-323-7465 Redesign existing Navy owned Arresting Gear bargraph meters, Ametek/Dixson P/N 00049451 and 00049599. The redesign will accomodate the following upgrades. a.The current synchro signal input to the awis will be replaced by a 4-20 milliampere analog input from a signal conditioned linear variable differential transformer (LVDT). The AWIS unit shall convert the LVDT analog signal to digital for internal processing. Using the LVDT signal output to aircraft weight correlation data developed during the prototyping phase of the development as identified in paragraph A.4, the AWIS unit shall display the data in the form of aircraft weight. Design shall include the functionality of the latest software upgrade developed to eliminate a "gear not set" condition when an Arresting Gear pendant engine if "off-line". All other funtionality and requirements of the original design shall remain. No Drawings are available. Delivery of prototype will be required 210 days after award.
