assembly, NSN: 4240-01-376-3152, part Number 5-1-2701. Award of a five
year requirements contract is anticipated, with a minimum of 50,000
and a maximum of 360,000 each year. The Government anticipates that a
total of 858,000 total QDHs will be bought over the 5 year period. This
hood assembly is made with butyl rubber coated cloth per MIL-C-51251.
The hood is used with the M40/42 Series Masks and protects the head and
shoulders area of the wearer. The hood contains reinforcement strips,
straps, and an elastic cord. These components are either sewn or bonded
to the hood: Second Item: M45 Hood, 4240-01-441-0553, Part Number
5-1-2802. Award of a five year requirements contract is anticipated,
with a minimum of 3,000 and a maximum of 25,000 each year. The
Government anticipates that a total of 36,840 will be awarded over the
5 year period. The Hood Assembly is made with butyl rubber coated
cloth per MIL-C-51251. The hood is used with the M45 Series Masks and
protects the head and shoulders area of the wearer. The hood contains
reinforcement strips, straps, and a draw cord around the neck area of
the hood. These components are either sewn or bonded to the hood. FOB
is Destination. Estimated issue date is 18 Aug 1999. Both CLINs are a
100 per cent SBSA, with flowdown subcontracting restrictions to the US
and Canada. Each CLIN will be evaluated separately. The solicitation
will be evaluated based on past performance, small business
participation, and price. Past performance has 2 subelements: Past
Performance and Small Business Participation. Past performance will be
rated slightly higher than price. The Government reserves the right to
make multiple awards. Quantity range pricing will apply. Estimated
issue date is 30 Aug 1999. This solicitation will be issued
electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and
14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing

prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may
