Business Set Aside. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) 2531, the
Manufacturer Small Business Size Standard is no more then 500
employees. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial
items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00014-99-R-0007
is issued as a request for proposal. This solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-12. The Office of Naval Research intends to
purchase a maximum of 201 fixed seats installed. There will be 27 rows
of 7 seats each and 2 rows of 6 seats each. The seat type is fixed
theater seating with folding seats. (1)Floor mounted units on standard
with upholstered back, cushion and armrest,Seat height 32", seat
widths: 22"and 22" center to center. (2) Panel Materials-Oak veneered
plywood backs complying with ANSI/HPVA HP-1 as standard with
manufacture. (3)Use 2 sealer coats of polyurethane. (4)
Upholstery-shall be leather type to meet C117 Fire Code and as follows:
Hide Size: 52 sq.ft, Weight: 2.5-3.0 oz. Per sq. ft or 1.0-1.2mm,
Quality: Corrected Top Grain, Finish: Conventional, Light Fast:
Fadometer-72 hours without change, Crocking: The leather shall not
crock, Abrasion: Taber Abraser-1000 cycles CS-10, Cracking: Newark Flex
Machine-60,000 cycles, Flame Retardant: BIFMA Flammability Standard

on 1" padded foam on " plywood without cup holder on manufacturers
standard metal support(to secure armrest to standard) (6) Transfer Arm
Rests: Provide 29 right and 11 left transfer arm rests at aisle side
marked with A.D.A logo on end. (7) Submittals: Submit Shop Drawing and
sample of upholstery within 10 working days after the contract is
awarded. (6) Storage and Handling: Seating to be delivered after wet
work, including painting, carpeting and all ceiling work in area has
been completed and is dry, if area is not ready for installation ONR
will provide a storage area within the Ballston Complex Tower, all
seating must be protected against damage during handling, transit and
installation/storage. Delivery and Installation shall be made on or
