HQ IOC intends to issue solicitation DAAA09-99-R-2057 IAW guidelines of OMB Circular No. A-76 entitled "Performance of Commercial Activities" at Letterkenny Munitions Center (LEMC) located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA. This solicitation will be issued on full and open competitive basis. LEMC demilitarization activities include OB/OD of rockets, missiles, propellant charges, depth charges and underwater munitions. This will be a firm fixed price contract including a transition period (beginning and exit) one-year contract with four (4) one-year options. Included in the demilitarization arena will be miscellaneous and safety Demil as required. This solicitation will be issued "Subject to Availability of Funds" on "Short of Award" basis. Solicitation will be issued on or about 23 August 1999. Closing date on or about 23 October 1999. A pre-solicitation conference and site-visit will be held shortly after issued date. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3483 with a size of 1,500 employees. All demilitarization work will be completed on-site at Letterkenny Army Depot.
