HQ IOC intends to issue solicitation DAAA09-99-R-2070 IAW guidelines of OMB Circular No. A-76 entitled "Performance of Commercial Activities" at Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD), Richmond, KY. This solicitation will be issued on a full and open competitive basis to solicit for non-personal services to perform BGAD base operation functions. This will include such functions as public works, security, safety, environmental, business management logistics, information management, communications, miscellaneous administrative positions and ammunition demilitarization. This will be a firm fixed price contract with a one year contract including a transition period and four (4) one-year options. Included in the demilitarization arena will be miscellaneous and safety demil as required. This solicitation will be issued "Subject to Availability of Funds" on a "Short of Award" basis. Solicitation will be issued on or about 07 SEP 99, with an estimated closing date of 08 Nov 99. A pre-solicitation conference and site-visit will be held shortly after the issue date.
