COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 23,1999 PSA#2394ADD-ON NOX CONTROL TECHNOLOGIES -- MANUFACTURERS MEETING There will be
a meeting on 8/4/99 for the Add-on NOx Control Technology
Manufacturers under EPA's Environmental Technology Verification (ETV)
Program for Air Pollution Control Technology. The purpose of the
meeting is to: 1) identify ozone-injection NOx control technology
vendor companies that are ready to participate in verification testing;
2) discuss with interested vendor companies the specifics of
verification testing, including costs, scheduling, and test plans; and
3) provide an opportunity for vendors of add-on NOx control
technologies other than ozone injection to gain insight concerning the
NOx control technology verification testing process. The Technical
Panel for Add-on Control Technologies met on 3/4/99, to review the
Draft Generic Verification Protocol for Add-on NOx Control Technologies
Utilizing Ozone Injection (see minutes at
http://etv.rti.org/apct/tech/nox/30499min.html). The generic
verification protocol will be expanded in the future to include other
add-on NOx control technologies. If you are interested in attending,
please contact Dr. Douglas VanOsdell, Research Triangle Institute (RTI)
by 7/30/99, at (919) 541-6785 or by fax at (919) 541-6936. The meeting
will be held in the Dreyfus Auditorium, RTI, Research Triangle Park,
NC, from 9 AM until 3 PM. RTI is app. 5 miles from the Raleigh-Durham
International Airport. The goal of ETV is to verify the performance
characteristics of commercially ready environmental technologies so
that potential puchasers and permitters are provided with an
independent and credible assessment of the technology they are buying
or permitting. RTI and EPA are partners in the ETV pilot program. WEB:
