This commercial requirement is for the round trip air transportation of passengers the 88 miles between North Island (KNZY) Naval Air Station CA and San Clemente Island CA (KSCI). The contract will be for whole plane charter flights with plane(s) capable of moving a combined total of 150 passengers in a 4.5 hour period. Turbine powered, IFR equipped, multi-engine, pressurized aircraft with a minimum of 19 seats are required. Trips will be flown weekdays with the heaviest traffic on Monday morning and Friday afternoon. The contract will be awarded to a Federal Aviation Regulation Part 121 or 135 carrier. The base period will be from 1 Oct 1999 thru 30 Sep 2000. There will be 3 one year option periods and a six month extension after performance in accordance with FAR 52.217-8. The date of receipt of offers will be on or about 23 July 1999. This synopsis modification is issued to change the start date of the contract to 1 Jan 2000.
