This is a modification to Solicitation Notice to make the following changes to Commerce Business Daily issue of July 2, 1999. (I-183, SN349942). This is a fixed price construction contract for landscape and site improvements along Porter Avenue adjacent to Building 20 at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia located in the Philadelphia Naval Business Center, Philadelphia, PA. The contract will have an option for a major portion of the work. This solicitation will be issued as Unrestricted. The estimated Issue date is on or about 3 August, 1999. The estimated Bid Opening date is on or about 3 September 1999 at 2:00 p.m. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium. Plans and Specifications will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format. The government intends to issuee thhis solicitation through the use of CD-ROM and the internet. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge, however, some plans and specifications will take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective offerors are encouraged to register on the Northern Division Internet ebs web site for this project when plans and specifications become available. Bidders/Offerors interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this project on CD-ROM must send in their request on Company Letterhead stating: (1) Complete Solicitation Number and Title of Project;(2) Complete Address, Point of Contact, Area code and phone number, Area code and fax number, E-mail address; (3) Number of CD-Roms requested; (4) identify whether the firm is a prime contractor, sub-contractor or supplier, indicate whether the firm is a small business, small disadvantaged business, large business and if the firm is a women owned business, along with a Business Check or cashier check annotated with the applicable solicitation number in the amount of $10.00 (THIS CHARGE IS NON-REFUNDABLE) to Defense Automated Printing Services, Building 4/D, Attn: Mr. Roy Bowser, 700 Robbins Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111-5094.
