Concerns having the ability to furnish the supplies described herein are requested to give written notification (including the telephone number for a point of contact) to the procuring office above within 45 calendar days from the date of this synopsis. The U.S. Geological Survey, Geologic Hazards Team, Denver, Colorado, has a requirement for five (5) Kinemetrics K2 Model Strong Motion Accelerographs. The K2 Accelerograph is required because of its high resolution (24 bit output data format, signed), high dynamic range (greater than 110 dB), and simultaneous sampling of up to 12 channels of data. The accelerographs must also met the following specifications: 1) Internal EpiSensor Deck, 2g 2) Provision for connection to external sensors (channels 4-6) 3) Altus Gain Board set @ 10x 4) Cell phone ready with RJ11 and LEMO connectors and cable 5) Internal modem ready 6) GPS receiver with antenna and 75 ft. coax cable 7) Locking leveling feet 8) Locking brackets 9) Without PCMCIA memory card 10) Support Software QuickLook and QuickTalk for Windows 11) User Operation Manual and Calibration 12) Delivery within 60 days of award Based on information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1), implemented by FAR 5.302-1, the Government considers the item specified as a sole source from Kinnemetrics, Inc., Pasadena, California, and proposes to negotiate a contract with that firm on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required supplies are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement, and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Since no solicitation document exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information will be considered non-responsive to this request without further consideration.
