For the period of September 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000, the NIFL seeks to work with a contractor for the purpose of: (1) continuing a publication series on literacy-related public policy issues at the state level, State Policy Update, which is distributed nationally; (2) maintaining and upgrading the public policy information available on the Literacy Information and Communication System (LINCS); (3) establishing working relationships with key state-level policy bodies, and tracking and reporting on important policy; and (4) assisting with other projects, as necessary.
