MAYNARD, Contracting Officer, (804) 675-5478; Fax (804) 675-5502 The VA Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23249 intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement for an upgrade to our imaging system used in research with Applied Scientific Instrumentation Inc., 29391 West Enid Rd., Eugene, OR 97402. The upgrade consists of TILL visION software with ISC microprocessor and PDC boards for timing and external device control of our polychrome(software requires windows nt 4.0 operating system and pentium computer), also includes Videoscope Image intensifier(VS4-1845) with Relay Optics to match our 2/3" CCD camera and a Gen III Ultra(Gen IV) tube with R-S232 controlled power supply, modification of VS4-1845 intensifier to accept Zeiss C-mount on relay optics/camera side, and an adjustable male (Zeiss) C-mount for installation on Axioskop, modification of VS-controller to switch between two manually selectable gain settings via a TTL pulse.
