Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Unigraphics Solutions software products to include the following: (1) Advanced Assemblies, (2) Scenario for FEA+Software Bundle, (3) UG/Grip Execute, (4) UG/Grip Development, (5) Valisys/Assembly, (6) UG/Manager 10 Seat, (7) UG/Harness, (8) UG Routing, and (9) UG Piping. The software will run on a NT platform. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). CSC intends to purchase the items from Unigraphics Solutions pursuant to FAR Part 13.106-1(b), which allows for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from only one source. CSC intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not toconduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by CSC to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of CSC.
