The period of performance for the consultant team will provide for a revenue operation date in 2005. The scope of work will include all aspects of light rail facilities and systems design, management oversight of design and construction, and a wide assortment of support services to fully implement the project. The Cross County light rail project has a total project value of $404 million and consists of an alignment of approximately 7.5 miles of double track with 9 stations, two of which will include park-n-ride lots. The extension will include up to 34 light rail vehicles, 35 buses, and the Forest Park Circulator improvements. The Request for Proposals (RFPs) for a Program Management Consultant will be issued November 1, 1999. The Brooks method for proposal evaluations will be utilized. DBE firms are invited to propose.
