CENTER, lpope@psc.gov. The Center for Mental Health Services/SAMHSA
through the Program Support Center, General Acquisitions Branch plans
to award a sole source requirement to the National Mental Health
Association (NMHA) for a study on children and adolescents estimated to
have (or be at risk of having) co-occuring disorders within State
juvenile justice systems. The period of performance is 12 months. This
project shall expand the number of States involved in a previous study
conducted by NMHA. A report of collaborations with State Mental Health
Planning Councils, to address the unmet needs of children with
co-occuring disorders shall be provided. A training module shall be
designed that could be used in educating State Mental Health Planning
Cpouncils on the unmet needs in children's mental health, as a vehicle
for stimulating further collaboration between the councils and other
child and family advocates interested in bringing attention to this
concern. The anticipated award date is August 12, 1999. No solicitation
