Dixon, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-0566 The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking sources interested in providing the design and installation of Fall Restraint Systems for the FBI, West Virginia (WV) Complex. This is a MARKET SURVEY for WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. This is NOT a solicitation announcement for proposals. There is no solicitation available at this time. The FBI is seeking sources who have had previous experience with designing and installing fall restraint systems. The contractor should demonstrate its ability to provide a fall restraint system that is mobile and does not have to be anchored to the roof. The Contractor should demonstrate its ability to provide a fall restraint system with the following conditions: The WV Complex is made up of five modules with three sloping roofs per module. The north side of the building has a glass atrium with 90 degree sides. The four types of conditions that need a fall restraint system at the WV Complex are: (1) Sloping precast concrete surfaces that are seven inches thick, supported by rebar. Rebar in precast on horizontal is number 4 @ 2 feet. Vertical rebar is number 5 @ 9 inches. Each module is approximately 145 feet long; (2) Sloping glass curtain wall approximately 145 feet long; (3) Glass atrium across the north side is approximately three modules in length; (4) Ninety degree vertical side which scaffolding may be erected. Employees need fall protection while building, using and disassembly of scaffold (mobile unit may be sufficient). The fall restraint system will need to have the capability to hold up to four (4) employees and allow them to traverse the slopes without disconnecting. The mobile unit cannot be anchored into the roof. Security clearances will be required on all of the contractor's employees. All interested parties should submit a written capability statement which demonstrates the company's ability to provide the services described herein.
