The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) has obtained a $100 million Delegation of Contracting Authority (DCA) from the Dept. of Transportation, Information Technology Omnibus Procurement II (ITOP II) program office. The primary purpose for this action is to modernize and support a variety of Marine Corps manpower, logistics, and other information systems employed to support mission-critical operations. This initiative is identified as Information Technology Modernization 2000 (ITM2K), and will be managed by the Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager, Information Systems (PM/IS). Over the course of the next fiscal year (FY00), the Marines will use the ITOP DCA to obtain technical services under each of the three (3) functional areas of the contract. On Tuesday, August 10th, a vendor information conference will be conducted jointly by Marine Corps and ITOP sponsors at the Marine Corps Research Center auditorium, 2040 Broadway, MCB Quantico, VA 22134, from 0900 1100. The purpose of the conference is to provide interested parties with information relevant to the execution of ITM2K, general conduct of the solicitation/award process, and to entertain questions from industry participants.
