The Naval Air Systems Command is conducting full and open competition for on-site support for the Navy and Air Force C-9 Aircraft totaling 52 aircraft. This is the formal announcement of solicitation N00019-99-R-1322 which was released as a DRAFT RFP in February 1999. The scope of the work includes inventory management, material replenishment and component repair. The Navy intends to award a seven-year (base period of 2 months plus six options) Fixed Price Requirements contract with Cost Reimbursement provisions (predominately material) beginning 01 August 2000. Since the C-9C aircraft will have classified equipment, the successful contractor will be required to obtain, as a minimum, a secret security clearance. Formal solicitation N00019-99-R-1322 inclusive of all attachments should be available mid August. In the interim, in continuing support of the DRAFT RFP, the Navy is posting within two days of this notice updates to Industry Questions/Comments and posting the DRAFT Air Force and Navy GovernmentFurnished Inventory Listings.
