Johnson Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center intends to award a contract for general Anesthesiology Services. This is considered to be an emergency contract for an approximate 6 month time frame. The anesthiologist must be board certified. This is a combined synosis/solicitation for a commercial item service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFP 534-60-99 and is issued as a request for proposal. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This procurement is Unrestricted SIC 8011. Contractor shall provide anesthesiology services for this Medical Center on an hourly basis from August 9, 1999 through January 31, 2000. This is to be a firm fixed price contract with an all inclusive hourly rate. Services will be five (5) days per week, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with on call approximately 7 days per month and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month.
