Potential contractor must posses a valid State of California Private Patrol Operator's license and will be required to submit proof of license upon submission of proposal. Security guard requirements are as follows: In good health, physically able to work/stand for extended periods, perform routine foot patrol and entry control duties, and lift a minimum of forty (40) pounds. All guards shall possess a valid Security Guard license as set forth in Chapter 11, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California. They must have a current security clearance with an investigation date not older than 5 years. Some of the guard posts to be covered are under a SAP (Special Access Programs) and are required to be manned by personnel who are SAP cleared. The period of performance shall be from 01 Jan 00 to 30 Sep 01 (base period) with three one-year option periods. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business firms. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7381. The government anticipates awarding an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.
