PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials and supplies to renovate and add an addition to building #16 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. This building will receive only renovation work necessary to accommodate the connection of the new addition, the replacement of windows and roof, and the installation of a fire protection system. A small cinder block addition made to the building some years past will be removed in it's entirety. The new addition shall be constructed to the southwest of the existing building and connected by means of an enclosed corridor. The area between the existing building and the new addition shall be roofed to provide outside storage area. The new addition will be constructed of masonry bearing walls on a deep foundation system of augered piles. Roof structure shall comprise of metal joists and decking. Magnitude of this project is between $500,000.00 and 1,000,000.00. Anticipated date of issue is 16 Aug 1999.
