This is a notice of intent to negotiate with Television Equipment Associates, 2022 Route 22, Brewster, NY 10509-0404 on an other than full and open competetive basis to purchase swimmer's kit per NAWCAD drawing OSK-TA-AP (ISS3), dual ear TACS II headset DTSC1412VP-AP, and lower cord set AP/P3. The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Television Equipment Associates. Swimmer's kit is specifically designed for secured transmissions in extremely wet conditions. Headset is supplied with an external noise flange capable of suppressing noise levels of up to 300 Ohms and vocal feedback of 15MV from normal speech. Furthermore, the headset is submersible for short periods of time and virtually waterproof up to 66 ft. Delivery is required to be FOB destination to Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland within 30 days of contract award.
